Do you work professionally or voluntarily in a food-related organization? Do you live, work, or do business in Durham? If so, please share your thoughts with us on Durham’s food system through our quick survey (click here).
The Institute for Sustainable Development partners with Burt’s Bees to support food-related Durham organizations in making their own operations greener, and to support new discussions of how to make our region’s food system more sustainable. We’ll post highlights and key results after the survey closes.
Any area food-oriented organization can be a part of this conversation, and food-oriented Durham businesses, nonprofits, and sole proprietors may qualify for a Burt’s Bees Greater Good Foundation Green Plus Scholarship to assess their business, environment, community, and employee practices in depth. Some of our Green Plus Certified businesses and participants include Counter Culture Coffee, Beyu Caffe, King’s Daughters Inn, Ninth Street Bakery, Sweet Beet City Farm, Cocoa Cinnamon, First Hand Foods, and Food Font.
