Congratulations to Four Seasons Produce for its recent Recertification with Green Plus.
Four Seasons Produce, based in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, is a full-line wholesale produce distributor with a mission of providing good quality healthy food to its customers. Four Seasons originally earned Green Plus Certification back in 2011, and was the first produce distribution company to take part in Green Plus. The company has excelled in sustainability, and proven its commitment to the high economic, environmental, and social standards in its businesses that is required by Green Plus Certification.
“Sustainability is a part of our ongoing strategic initiatives. Partnering with Green Plus and becoming Green Plus certified a few years ago provided us a visual snap shot of our sustainability program,” says Randy Groff, Director of Facilities and Energy at Four Seasons. “We decided that the recertification process would enable us to benchmark off that original certification and provide us with a clear understanding of the areas we need to focus on and improve in the future. Overall the certification is a valuable tool to help us continue to grow our sustainability program.”
Four Seasons Produce recently received the 2013 Green Plus Sustainable Enterprise of the Year award, and we’re honored to work with Four Seasons as it continues to be a leader in sustainability and in Green Plus.
