Green Plus businesses partnering in Habitat for Humanity

Green Plus member Southern Energy Management, Green Plus Certified business The Redwoods Group, and Burt’s Bees have teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to help build a house in Durham, North Carolina. This partnership will not only result in a new home for a needy family, but will raise awareness and foster collaboration among the growing community of sustainability oriented businesses in the Triangle.

Each of the three companies will set aside time on several Fridays over the next few months so that employees and members of the public can volunteer. However, all three organizations want to encourage anyone interested in partner with them in building the house.  If your business works on the philosophy of triple-bottom line, is Green Plus or B-corp certified, or is making efforts toward sustainability in its own way, please join us; Anyone and everyone is welcome to join in this great cause.  Shifts are 8:30am-11:30am, and 12:30pm-3:30pm every Friday.
