The Metro South Chamber announced a new initiative which allows businesses to achieve a credible “green” certification in order to convey their commitment to responsible and sustainable operations. Green Plus is a program developed for small and medium businesses by the Institute for Sustainable Development. It is designed to educate, motivate, and reward small businesses for working toward triple sustainability by providing actionable information for improving performance, supplying access to a network of peers, experts and university partners, and rewarding exceptionally sustainable businesses with brand and marketing support.
“The Metro South Chamber of Commerce is proud to offer businesses in the region the opportunity to become “Green Certified” through the Green Plus program,” said Christopher Cooney, Chamber President and CEO. “This innovative program offers our businesses a credible certification and will allow them to operate more effectively and sustainably and, in turn, capitalize on consumer commitment to responsible products and services.”
